This bandanna play sundress pattern will delight a young miss. dress takes two 22" bandannas, 4 yards white ric yards bias tape, four red grippers. Designer: Barbara
Play dress pattern:
Cut two squares in half so you have four 22 x 11" pieces. Sew three pieces together to make an 11 x 66" strip for skirt. Stitch skirt ends together, leaving 2" free for the back opening.
Make paper patterns for yoke halves. Front half is 6" at waist, 4 1/2" waist to neck at center, 2" for straight neck edge, 2" neck to shoulder, 2" across shoulder, 2 1/2" waist to underarm. Curve to shoulder for arm opening.
For back of yoke, allow 9" at waist (includes 2" facing at back opening, 4 1/2" waist to neck at center, 5" for straight neck edge, 2" neck to shoulder, 2" across shoulder, 2 1/2" waist to underarm). Curve for arm opening.
Cut front half on fold of fabric, the back two separate pieces. Sew together; gather skirt to top. Bind neck, sleeve, and hem. Stitch rickrack next to each binding and at yoke line. Attach grippers at back opening.
Cheery pot holder
Cheery pot holder. Cut 5x9" scrap terry towel; cover with bandanna fabric. Quilt with diagonal stitching. Sew rick on edges of short sides, over quilting lines on front.
Large bandanna makes four
Toddlers trunks will give a holiday look to any wee sportsman you know. For bandanna trunks, you will need two 18" square red bandannas, 5 yards white bias tape, 3 yards white rickrack.
Candy cane trunks take 1/2 yard 36" red Indian head,m 5 yards white bias tape, 1/2 yard white rickrack, scrap of green ribbon.
