For harlequin apron, stitch rickrack on Fold in half lengthwise. Slip over apron; baste. Sew one row rickrack on waistband joining of harlequin apron. Put ties in side openings; baste. Securely top-stitch sides and lower edges of band. |
Red apron uses 1 yard red organdy, 11 yards narrow gold rickrack, six gold Christmas tree balls. Sew eight rows rickrack 1/4" apart, following lines of lower points. Stitch three rows rickrack 1/4" apart on waistband of red apron. Tack ornaments to points. Add narrow hem on lower points of apron. |

Cut apron according to diagram below

Fold, press, and stitch 5" hem. Hem sides and ties of the apron. Trace six leaves onto apron hem, using paper pattern made as shown in diagram. Space evenly and in alternating directions. Stitch rickrack over markings. Gather top of apron to fit waistband. Press in raw edges of band 1/4". Fold in half lengthwise. Slip over apron top; baste. Slip ties in side opening; baste. Top-stitch sides and lower edges of waistband. |
