This is another one of our free fashion doll sewing patterns.. This dress is the only street length dress in the Glamor Girl Collection. The pattern comes complete with matching doll underwear if you want to make a different type of outfit.

It could be made up with any small print cotton or cotton blend fabric. The fabric you choose can determine the type of dress this will be. It could be a elegant gown, to a casual dress. This pattern has a full skirt gathered at the waist with short sleeves.

You can shorten the skirt and make the panties to match and you could have a cheer leader outfit or a skating costume. Also a cute little square dancing outfit could easily be created with the proper materials.

Think about how you may lengthen the skirt, change the sleeves or leave them off completely. If you use some silky fabric with a sheer overlay, than you could make this dress into a gorgeous ball gown of the 1950s style. It would just be a matter of using the appropriate fabric. This little pattern could be adjusted to make up many different items with just a few minor changes.

Daytime Dress Up

Bodice:

1 – Make darts on front

2 – Join underarm and side seams

3 – Press open and clip underarms

Skirt:

1 – Join front and back side seams

2 – Gather to fit bodice

3 – Match side seams of skirt and bodice

4 – Stitch to bodice

5 – Hem neckline and sleeves

6 – Hem back opening

7 – Sew snaps where indicated

Panties

1 – Stitch hemlines on panties leg openings

2 – Clip close to stitching

3 – Stitch center front seam

4 – Turn under hem and insert elastic to fit dolls waist.

(Be sure that it will go over her hips and allow for back seam)

5 – Tack securely

6 – Close center back seam

7 – Stitch crotch and hem leg openings
